| These project show the process and the research made for designing a shelter house for aquaponics systems. During this process we have been taking decisions and finding some problems and the solutions. | This project shows the process and research made for developing a shelter for aquaponic systems. During the project we were affected by several problems, made decisions and finally solved these problems. |
| | First of all we decided to build a greenhouse with a shape that is based on a geodesic design. In terms of marketing we want to be perceived as a brand that provides a design product for a reasonable price. This design is able to support those two characteristics |
| The first decisions we made was the shape of the design, which is going to be a dome, because it is a modern and innovative form. The positioning on the market of our shelter house is to have a good price, that is why is important to have a low price of building it, and a dome is cheaper than other shapes. | The second decision concerned the construction material being used. Several materials were considered but we finally decided for using wood for more aesthetic and a lower price. Once the shape and the material were decided, we started to take a look at the different dome shapes that are possible to construct. After that, the different components and characteristics, like windows and door, were implemented into the design. Finally the 3D simulation was done, with the different pieces and the assembly. |
| | Before realization of each decision made during the project, we considered various aspects of possible future outcomes affected by the decision. |
| The second decision to make was the material of the structure of the dome, during this part we balanced in using aluminium or wood for the structure, but because of the budget and the aesthetics, we finally decided to use wood and screws to anchor the dome. | |
| Once the shape and the material is decided, we started to take a look in the different dome shapes that is possible to do, deciding that the geodesic form is the most indicated for the shelter because it is the most resistant. After that, the different components and characteristics are introducing in the design done, like the door and the windows. Finally the 3D simulation has done, with the different pieces and the assembly. | |

| Every decision taken during this process has been studied before the making. | |
